Some people in this game are just so awesome :D

I was questing in HP last week, and ran into a level 70 warrior, who must have been a bit on the bored side.. cos after inspecting me he offered to run me through ramparts to get some upgrades! I obviously wasn't going to say no to that! So he and a healer guildy of his took me flew me through Ramparts! Unfortunately nothing dropped that was of any use :( Which was no problem - it was free xp if nothing else, and a good laugh - these guys were great fun to play with :) But that wasn't enough help as far as this guy was concerned - and off he went to get a load of fel iron, so he could make me the full fel iron set (which I couldn't even wear yet, cos I was only level 60!). I was blown away :D And still, it doesn't end there - he then did all my group quests with me, earning me a shedload of xp! So I was one very happy warrior :D

What then blew me away even more is that when I logged in the next day I found 400g in my mailbox from him!!! And he's offered to help me out with more runs anytime. I haven't taken him up on that, because he's been more than generous enough already - but I make a point of saying hi when I see him on; and when i can make some useful flasks, I'll be sure to send him some as a thank you for all his help. but just.. wow. How nice is that?

I think part of me thinks maybe it's karmic, since I've done similar things for others on my old server - I always used to help out lowbies in one way or another - and have thought nothing of giving a couple of hundred gold away to people I knew were new to the server. And knowing I've done it makes it easier to accept I think. Because there's that cynical part that wonders what his agenda is. But I don't think there is one. He just wanted to help out a fellow warrior that was new to the server. Which I can believe as I've done similar things. But still.. it's just awesome to be on the receiving end! :DDD

Outlands here I come..ish @ 11:54 pm

So yesterday I dinged 58 (no small thanks to the fire festival stuff - I got an insane amount of xp from dousing fires! lol), and headed straight for the portal super excited to be able to finally level my proffessions past 300 (herb/alc)! Ran for shattrath via the bloodelf town (can't think of the name atm - brainfart) and the cenarion place so i could get my first aid and fishing books! Amazingly i even did it without getting killed by ravagers! ;) Set my hearth to the shat inn, then took a look at my quest log.... and realised that, actually, I couldn't bear to abandon ANY of the quests there! SO I'm still questing in felwood and winterspring, and I have all or WPL and EPL to do! and silithus! I think I may be some time ;)

I've also been trying to clear some of my instance quests - which has so far meant 4 PUGs to BRD - and I STILL haven't done all the quests! But, I did ding 59, so it's not all bad ;)

I had some great advice on spec from someone in wow_ladies that has got me very nicely this far.. but I'm really starting to feel like I need some points in Prot. My surviveability when tanking doesn't seem as good as it should be. That could be kit. It could also be because the healers I've been pugging with in BRD have all been 49 or 50 and none of them were specced for it. Meh I don't know. I might try and stick with guild runs for a while - although that's difficult since there's very few ppl in the guild near my level, and getting them all together at the same time would be akin to herding cats! *sighs*

Introduction :D @ 12:20 am

I thought I would start with a little bit about me (as relates to Warcraft anyway!)

I've been playing WOW for around 3 years.   I don't actually remember what character I created first, since I did a lot of experimenting with classes and races.   The one I count as my First Character though is the one that I first leveled up.  She was a tauren druid, and I loved her.  I still do love her, but although she stayed my main for a long long time, she isn't any longer.  She was always feral, but at 60 she was required to heal in raids more often than not, which was somewhat annoying!  So I decided to roll and level an undead priest who could be my healbot instead :)  She's another character I have much love for.  And then TBC came out, and aside from leveling my two 60's up to 70, I couldn't resist trying the new Blood Elf race (along with the rest of the Universe).  And, having decided that I really wanted a farming character (my druid had two crafting professions, and my priest had gathering - but was holy), I opted for a hunter.  She fairly quickly got to 70 - and as much as I like her, I rarely instance with her - she's just for farming :)

Then about 8 months ago, I found myself getting very bored with the game.  It occured to me though that never having leveled an alliance character, there was a huge chunk of the game I'd never seen - so I dusted off my highest level alliance character (a level 8 human priest!) (one of those that had been part of the creating a million race/class combinations early on) and levelled her.  My intention was to play her as shadow, but found I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as holy - and so I now have 2 level 70 holy priests!

So why "pink_warrior"? is a question you may be wondering :)  Well, I have recently rerolled on a new server as part of a reroll project.  A baby tauren Warrior.  And pink - well, because I love all things pink, and will be working on getting her a pink dress for wearing around town as much as possible :D

All my characters are female.  Partly because I am female and I like to play toons of the same gender, partly because I think they look so much better than the male toons, and partly because people seem to think that girls can't play and that a female toon will be played badly.  I like to challenge peoples preconceptions.

My baby warrior is called Rohana, and is up to level 41 - so I'm getting there, albeit slowly!  She's specced entirely fury at the moment, although I ultimately intend to go Prot with her, and in fact am thinking on starting to put some points in the prot tree from here on up.  I know that there is a consensus of opinion that warriors can tank fine as fury spec pre-outlands, but I want to get as much tanking practice in as possible, and I figure points in prot are going to help with that.  We shall see.  I need to give more thought to this and have a poke round some more forums.

Well, that's all for now.  Hopefully I'll remember to keep this journal updated ;)
